Palm Trees in Copley Square


Am I crazy, or are those palm trees planted in Copley Square?

I'm not an expert horticulturist, but I'm thinking these won't survive a Boston winter. Whoever planted them, however, probably knows far more about the survival of palm trees than I do.

    If they are palm trees I agree they will not survive.

    Plus how long will it take for someone to steal them?!

    They had some there last year, just like they do in the Public Garden. They will probably remove them in the fall. I think they add a nice touch.
